Police are appealing for witnesses after a three teenagers were assaulted in a park, leaving one with facial injuries.

One of the teenagers also had their mobile phone stolen during the incident, which happened in Wilmslow on Saturday night around a 6.45pm.

Police were called to The Carrs after a report of a disturbance.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: “At 6.44pm on Saturday, May 14, police attended Carrs Park in Wilmslow following reports of a disturbance involving a group of youths.

“Three teenagers who were sitting on a bench were approached by a group of teenagers on bicycles.

“They were assaulted, one suffering facial injuries.

“One of the victims had his mobile phone stolen.”

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw the incident or who knows the identity of the offenders to contact police.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 767 of May 14.
