A TEENAGER from Macclesfield achieved some of the best results in the country in her A-levels.

Beatrice Nixon, 18, from Marton, clocked up FOUR A* and one A after studying at Eaton Bank Academy.

She has secured her place to study Natural Sciences at Lancaster University.

Beatrice said: “I feel good. I was nervous but now I’m relieved. I’m going to Lancaster University to study Natural Sciences because that way I can carry on with all three of Maths, Chemistry and Physics. There will be a year abroad as part of the course, hopefully in North America. I just want to keep learning really, even after my degree. I am sorry to be leaving Eaton Bank though. I’ve loved it here.”

Beatrice was joined by other students from the town to achieve success in their A-levels.

Owen Pemberton from Macclesfield got A*, A and B; Bethany Roche from Siddington achieved A,B and C grades; Martha Gilman from Bosley got two  Bs and two Cs; and John Needham from North Rode got two Bs and a C.
