A teenager who admitted supplying class A drugs in Macclesfield has been sentenced by magistrates.

The offender, who was 16 at the time of the crime, was caught with 35 MDMA tablets after being arrested.

The court heard that the night before his arrest he had attended an under-18s night at Ronnie’s on Mill Street, Macclesfield.

Officers had been called to the event at Ronnie’s after a number of youngsters became unwell due to ingesting illegal ‘Nintendo’ pills, the hearing was told.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to supplying 15 methylamphetamine tablets in Macclesfield, and another charge of possessing 35 MDMA tablets with the intention to supply them to others.

He entered the guilty pleas at a youth hearing at Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court in March and was given a 12 month referral order at Trafford Magistrates’ Court.
