Design students from Macclesfield College are to see their work on display in public for the first time.

The exhibition called Outside Inn will feature work using digital design, photography and print inspired by the outdoors.

The eight Graphics & Digital Media Foundation degree students will be displaying their work at Snow Goose, on Sunderland Street, from January 19-26.

Making their exhibition debuts were Sophie Hughes, 24, Nathan Harding, 25, and Gillian Hammer from Macclesfield; Kirsty Robinson, 19, from Bosley; Josh Jackson, 19, from Congleton; James Kirby, from Chester and Simon Corcoran.

The students are in the last year of a two-year course at Macclesfield College, through Manchester Metropolitan University, which has covered design principles, corporate identity, advertising, typography, art history and web design.

Sophie Hughes said: "Although we have set up small exhibitions at the college, this is our first public exhibition. Each group members has been assigned a different task so we have worked as a team to bring together this exhibition."
