LOOK out ladies! A TV heart-throb will be setting hearts a-flutter in the town as he tries out life on the other side of the lens.

Model Carlton Adkins, 35, is familiar to millions for his starring role in one of the TV adverts for vodka drink Smirnoff Black Ice.

In the 'clear as your conscience' campaign, Carlton plays a cheeky chappie avoiding difficult questions from his girlfriend in the cinema.

Five years ago, he set pulses racing in households across Britain as the face of Easy Jeans.

Since then he has worked across the world with some of the best photographers in the fashion industry, on campaigns for Levis, Armani and even a saucy stint as a swimwear model.

But now he is swapping his picture perfect lifestyle to get behind the camera, by setting up his own studio, Capture Portraits in Chestergate, Macclesfield.

Carlton said: "I am definitely getting a bit long in the tooth for this modelling lark, and I can think of no better industry to get into than photography.

"I'll still take the occasional modelling job, but as far as swimwear goes, that's definitely over.

"Believe me, middle-aged spread comes to us all."

But sorry ladies, the reason the boy is settling down in Macclesfield is down to a lady who came into the picture just seven months ago - his new bride Amanda.

After a whirlwind romance which started in Brasingamens nightclub in Alderley Edge, the couple were wed in St Peter's Church in Prestbury last month.

A former air hostess, Amanda, 26, is now assisting her hubby in the studio, and is more than supportive of his TV notoriety.

Carlton added: "I find the Smirnoff thing quite amusing.

"It was just something that came off after a casting.

"But Amanda loves it, as does my mum, who has the video recorder set for every time the ad comes on."

Now Carlton is set to use his experience as a long time muse to get his own subjects to strike a pose.

He added: "I definitely feel that ten years of posing will pay off on the other side of the camera.

"It has given me a great insight into how to get the best from people, and I'll be putting all my efforts in to the business from now on."
