A search has been launched for a missing Macclesfield man who has learning difficulties.

Carl Gleadle, 46, was last seen getting on a train to Stockport from Macclesfield Station at 6pm yesterday (Oct 9).

Police believe he got off the train in Stockport and may have boarded another train.

Carl has severe learning difficulties and has difficulty communicating with people.

He has no access to money and is considered to be very vulnerable.

Carl is white, clean shaven, around 5ft8in tall, with cropped greying hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue waterproof coat, grey hooded top, blue jeans and black shoes.

Inspector Neil Baskerville said: "We would urge anyone who may have seen Carl, or anyone who has been in contact with him within the last couple of days, to contact us as we are very concerned for his health and wellbeing.

"Carl has no access to money and will not have eaten for some hours.

"We would appeal to anyone who sees him to contact police as he is extremely vulnerable."
