Seven cars were broken into on one car park in a matter of hours.

Thieves targeted high-end vehicles at Shrigley Hall hotel in Pott Shrigley in the early hours of Monday.

Police were called by hotel bosses at around 7am after reports of windows being smashed in a number of cars.

Officers discovered a red Volvo Estate, a grey Land Rover, a black Peugeot 308 Estate, a silver Ford Focus, a black Mitsubishi Shogun Warrior and a red Honda Civic had all been broken into.

Golf clubs were among the items taken.

Police are now investigating the thieving spree which is believed to have taken place between midnight on Sunday and 7am on Monday.
