SOCCER star's wife Muriel Djemba-Djemba proved language is no obstacle on the road to success, when she sailed through her driving test.

Under expert guidance at Handforth's new multi-lingual driving school DSM, Muriel, who is married to Aston Villa player Eric Djemba-Djemba managed to get her practical and theory test under her belt in six months.

With French as her first language, she struggled with the rules of the road until the school, ran by Yass Diouani, was recommended to her by Christiano Ronadlo's cousin Nuno Viveiros.

After a nervous start Muriel motored through her theory and practical tests.

Now she wants others in her position to realise there is someone out there who can help.

DSM was set up by Yass at the end of last year, when he realised there was definite need for multi-lingual teachers, particularly given Wilmslow's reputation as a home for Manchester United's influx of foreign signings.

Born in Algeria, 36-year-old Yass moved to the UK 20 years ago and is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

He became a part-time driving instructor with BSM while working as an agent for Emirates Airlines and was frequently asked for lessons in French or Arabic , which made him realise there was a gap in the market.

And he believes the cultural diversity around Wilmslow makes it the ideal place for the unique driving service.

Yass said: "My varied client group reflects the cultural diversity of the local area. There is definitely a growing need here for fully qualified multi lingual driving instructors.

"I provide each of my clients with a personal lesson plan in English, French or Arabic, designed to give them the best possible learning experience with DSM."

Thanks to a high pass rate and word of mouth, business is booming and Yass already has plans to branch out with workshops for motorists planning to drive in France but nervous of the road rules there.
