MILLIONAIRES row really is in Alderley Edge - in all but name.

The village is home to the hottest property in the region with the latest poll confirming it has the poshest roads in North West.

Secluded Whitebarn Road with its panoramic views of The Edge takes the top slot with average house prices at a staggering £1.855,880 million.

Over the years the hideaway has been home to top business people finding refuge from city life. But more recently it has attracted celebrity footballers and television stars as well as the cream of commerce and the professions.

Following closely behind are Hough Lane, Beechfield Road, and Macclesfield Road, all rated in the 100 most expensive streets and helping to bounce Alderley ahead of its swanky neighbours in Wilmslow where Fletsand Road, is ranked eighth with the average cost of a home set at £1.339,470m.

Other exclusive addresses in Wilmslow with the most expensive houses are Prestbury Road, £1.245m and Sherbrook Rise, £1.145m.

The data from TheMouseprice.com Street Rankings 2007 takes its information from the country's official Property Rich List.
