A memorial bench has been unveiled in tribute to four people killed in the Bosley mill disaster .
The seat has been set in the grounds of St Mary’s Church in Bosley as a place for quiet reflection.
It was donated by Co-operative Funeralcare.
The bench was blessed by the Rev Dr. Jon Harries during the annual Bosley Rose Queen service which takes place on the Sunday following the annual village fete and fell race.
Rose King Oliver Carter and his Bodyguard Charlie Clark read verses from Psalm 121 and Matthew’s Gospel during the service. Rose Queen Daisy Worrall then cut the ribbon around the bench.

Rev Harries said: “This bench will be a place of comfort and a reminder of our hope in God and in the resilience and spirit of our community.”
Explosions and fire ripped apart Wood Treatment Ltd in Bosley on July 17, last year.
Derek Moore, 62, Dorothy Bailey, 62, William Barks, 51, and Jason Shingler, 38, were killed in the tragedy.
Mr Shingler’s body has never been recovered.
Detectives and officers from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) continue to probe the cause of the disaster.
