SHE has all the poise and glamour you’d expect of a Premier League WAG, but Leanne Wassell is happy to be one of the less high profile partners of Manchester United stars.
The stunning redhead is the fiancee of Reds defender Wes Brown and the pair will marry in June in what is likely to be a footballer-packed affair.
And it emerged yesterday that one of the star guests at the do will be an eagle, specially trained by a falconer, to swoop into Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, bearing the rings.
But Leanne said before this revelation about her nuptials that she isn’t even thinking about selling the rights to a glossy magazine.
She said: "I think there is a choice you make and you can go two ways when you start going out with a footballer. But I never really wanted to be in the limelight.
"I’m very lucky because I can do my bit to support charity events, but I can also happily walk down the street without worrying about being snapped by photographers like some of the wives and girlfriends."
Leanne was looking as glamorous as ever as she posed for photos to publicise an upcoming charity fashion show for the NSPCC at Apparel in Wilmslow, on March 12.
Leanne and a host of celebrities, including Heartbeat’s Tricia Penrose and Nikki Sanderson will strut their stuff at the event.
But it’s a busy time before then for Leanne as she, Wes – who live in Prestbury – and their two young daughters will finally move into their new Cheshire des res this week.
It has been built by the couple’s best friends, ex-footballer Ashley Ward and wife Dawn, who run property company Bilton Ward in Cheshire.
Wes and Leanne have been living at the Wards’ house for the past eight months.
Leanne said: "Moving out will be strange as we’re such good friends."
