A man has been taken to hospital following an accident involving two cars.
The incident, which involved two hatchbacks, happened along Congleton Road in Gawsworth at about 3.30pm this afternoon (Monday, March 14).
Fire crews from Macclesfield, Alsager and Congleton were called to the scene and assisted a man from one of the cars.
He was then handed to the care of the paramedics and taken to hospital by Air Ambulance.
Gawsworth Road has been closed in both directions.
The crew have used environmental pads to absorb fluid which had leaked from both vehicles.
