Man in court after jewellery stolen from care home

A man will appear at Crown Court charged with stealing jewellery from acare home. Brian Leonard, 35, appeared at Macclesfield magistrates court charged with burglary after a box containing jewellery disappeared from Prestbury House Care Home on West Park Drive on January 12.

A man will appear at Crown Court charged with stealing jewellery from acare home.

Brian Leonard, 35, appeared at Macclesfield magistrates court charged with burglary after a box containing jewellery disappeared from Prestbury House Care Home on West Park Drive on January 12.

The defendant, of Renfrew Close, admitted the attempted theft of a box of cigarettes worth £35 from the Co-op on New Road in Prestbury.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on February 6 on both charges.
