A man caught with indecent images of children has avoided a prison sentence.

Richard John Amos Acaster, 45, downloaded six photographs and stored them at his home, a court heard.

But they were found by police who were investigating him for other matters, prosecutors said.

At Macclesfield magistrates’ court, Acaster, of Mellor View, Disley, admitted possessing an indecent photograph of a child and making an indecent photograph of a child.
