SHAMED advertising man Ralph Westmancoat was ordered to complete a two-year community rehabilitation order after admitting downloading indecent images on his computer at work.

Westmancoat pleaded guilty to ten charges of downloading photographs of young girls between January 1 and April 24 this year. His name will be added to the register of sex offenders for five years.

Judge Geoffrey Kilfoil, sentencing at Chester Crown Court, noted Westmancoat had repeatedly expressed regret for his actions and that he had been motivated by curiosity.

The 40-year-old, of Macclesfield, had worked for two years at the Angus Partnernship advertising and marketing company in Chelford Road, Nether Alderley, but was dismissed after his improper use of the computers was discovered.

The court was told that a total of 100 indecent images were found.
