Man, 21, has arm broken during vicious mugging on Park Lane in Macclesfield

A man had his arm broken during a vicious street robbery.

A man had his arm broken during a vicious street robbery.

The 21-year-old victim was attacked walking along Park Lane, Macclesfield, in early hours of Sunday morning (Oct 7).

Sometime between 2.30am and 2.50am the man walked past a group of young people near the underpass.

Seconds later he attacked from behind.

He was punched in the face repeatedly and fell to the ground. The group then stamped on him.

The offenders then stole his wallet before making off leaving him with a broken arm, black eye and grazes to his body.

One of the offenders is described as being white, 20-years-old, 6ft tall and stocky.

DS Richard Johnson said: "This was a particularly nasty attack which resulted in the victim having to go to hospital to be treated for his injuries."
