A couple from Kerridge are opening their garden in aid of a national charity scheme.

Georgie and Peter Everson are opening their garden at Cheshire View to the public for the third year to raise money for the National Gardens Scheme (NGS), which sees gardens around the country open up for a variety of charities.

The couple will host two opening events and ask those interested to contact them beforehand to make arrangements to visit.

Georgie said: “We are a hillside garden and are hoping for good sunsets as we enjoy a good view from here.

“We enjoy opening our garden because it’s a good way of raising money for the charity. We will have a flute quartet at the second event, so with live music and candlelight it should be a good evening.”

The garden is open from 6.30pm on Monday, August 17 and Thursday, August 27.

Entry costs £3 and there will be wine, tea, coffee and cakes for sale.
