STAB victim Zain Sailsman had been set to appear in court accused of dealing heroin before his death, it has been revealed.

The 19-year-old was in a vehicle stopped by police on Bond Street, Macclesfield, on July 5, as part of Operation Dizi – a police crackdown on drug dealing in the town.

Officers searched the vehicle and found heroin inside.

Zain was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He appeared at Macclesfield  magistrates’ court on September 18 and was bailed to appear at Chester Crown Court on January 8. The case was discontinued following his death.

Zain was found dying in Bullocks Lane, Sutton, at about 6.45pm on October 30.

A post mortem examination found he died from a single stab wound.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Zain Sailsman was one of a number of people arrested on July 5, on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs.

“He was charged and appeared at Macclesfield magistrates court on September 18, 2013, where he was bailed to crown court in January 2014.”

n Three people – two men and a woman – have been charged with murder.

Ricky Jervis, 22,  of Dale Crescent  in Congleton, Charles Beadell, 22, of Buckfast Close, Macclesfield, and Julia Howard, 35, of Shaw Street, Macclesfield,  are due to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, January 21.
