The Macclesfield Express is in the final of a prestigious journalism competition.
The paper is in the running to be named Weekly Newspaper of the Year in the North West 02 Media Awards.
Also up for the title are fellow Trinity Mirror titles The Liverpool Post, Crewe Chronicle and Accrington Observer. The Cumberland News is also nominated.
Express Editor Judy Gordon said: “We are thrilled to receive this nomination and the recognition that we are working hard for the people of Macclesfield to produce a paper that informs, entertains and really gets to grips with the big issues in the town.”
Sister publication the Manchester Evening News’ Business magazine has also been nominated.
