Passengers at Macclesfield railway station had a lucky escape after a car crashed into a stairwell during rush hour.
The red Hyundai ploughed through the wall over stairs leading to the car park on Water's Green yesterday at 5pm.
The driver, an 84-year-old woman, managed to escape the vehicle as it hung precariously over steps leading to the platform.
The crash sent bricks and debris flying in all directions.
Police said no one was hurt during the incident.
The area has been cordoned off while repairs are made to the wall.
Sgt Kerrie Snowdon from Macclesfield police said: "It must have been quite a shock for pedestrians and passengers at the train station. Luckily no one was hurt."
