THE PRIDE of Macclesfield was celebrated at a glitzy bash last night for Silk 106.9's 11th Local Hero Awards.
Heroes young and old, community champions, and the borough's top organisations attended the ceremony at the Moss Rose stadium yesterday (November 19).
The Macclesfield Express was on hand to capture the evening , congratulate the winners who shone in their own special way over the past year - and present the Champion Child award.
Gongs were awarded for ten categories, from best teacher to young person of the year, as well as musical performances from All Hallows Catholic College and two singers from LZ6.
