IT'S the last drop!

Regulars and staff at the Poynton Wine Bar are making history by being one of the last to abseil from the famous Kippax Stand at Manchester City FC.

To help raise money for the Marie Curie Nursing Service across Cheshire, a team from the Park Lane bar will be making the descent at Maine Road before the club switches to its new stadium next year.

The plucky group, who will be led by manager and Marie Curie supporter Jamie Brelsford, will be taking part in what is the last ever charity abseil at the famous football ground.

The event will raise funds for the Marie Curie Nursing Service, which provides care to cancer patients who are seriously ill in the comfort of their own home.

Jane Wilkinson, fund-raising manager, said: "This will be the last chance to abseil from the famous Kippax stand to the pitch below and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view Manchester as you have never seen it before.

"Join in on your own or rope your friends in too and help us raise money for local cancer care."

Everyone is welcome to take part in the abseil which will be taking place on Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27.

All you need to do is pay a £10 registration fee and try and raise £75 in sponsorship.
