A knife raider held up a newsagent and made off with an amount of cash.
Police were called to a corner shop on Moss Lane in Macclesfield yesterday at around 10.30am following reports of a robbery.
Officers said they later made an arrest in connection with the investigation into the incident.
A 37-year-old man was arrested by police and has now been bailed until December.
