HENBURY Hall will open its gates to the public on May 26 in the hope of raising £50,000 for the National Garden Scheme.

This year is particularly special because the garden, which belongs to Sebastian de Ferranti, was created largely by his late wife Naomi, who died last year.

It is also the 75th anniversary of the National Garden Scheme and they are hoping to top last year's £40,000 raised in aid of the scheme.

Entry is £4 for adults and £1 for children. Entry proceeds go to the Scheme and money from the teas will go towards East Cheshire Hospice.

Henbury Hall gardens will be open from 2pm to 5pm. Everyone is welcome.
