A harvest festival will help raise money to feed children around the world.

Alderley Edge Methodist Church is hosting its harvest festival this weekend featuring a performance by United Christian Singers, a choir of 90 singers from around Manchester representing a wide range of Christian denominations.

Money raised from a collection will go to Mary's Meals which helps feed children living in some of the poorest countries in the world.

Judy Povey, from the church, said:  "The charity does outstanding work.  Its mission is that giving a child a meal at school helps them to learn.

"Education helps lift people out of poverty and changes lives."

The festival is on Saturday, at 7.30pm.
