A group of 80 teenagers raised more than £1,800 for charity as part of a social action project.
The 16 and 17year-olds organised the fun family event at the MAC Centre on Goodall Street in aid of the victims and families of Bosley and Angels Animal Rescue, an animal charity based in Macclesfield.
The day marked the end of a month-long voluntary personal and social development programme with the National Citizenship Service, NCS, a youth charity organised by the Youth Federation.
Around 200 visitors enjoyed live music from local bands, a book sale, food stalls, a raffle and tombola.
There was also a penalty shootout courtesy of Macclesfield Town Football Club.
Team leader Beatrice Glover, from Hurdsfield, said: “For me it’s a lot more than just something for them to do over the holidays.
“It shows that teenagers don’t just sit on street corners but want to give something back to the community.”
She added: “It was a fantastic day and the young people did a great job of organising it.
“It was very emotional at the end too as some of the teenagers make friends for life on the project.”
