A dad-of-four is searching for an explanation after he spotted a strange, unidentified flying object from his kitchen window.

Chris Henry, who lives on Mayfield Avenue in Macclesfield, was waiting for a friend to pick him up on Thursday (August 25) around 7pm when a ‘jet black right-angled object appeared’ in the sky. Curious he filmed the object, but couldn’t find an explanation for it when he played the film back later that evening.

He said: “I just thought: ‘What is that?’ It was like an egg-timer shape. I filmed it from my doorstep but it was only when I got back home and zoomed in on the video that I saw how bizarre it was.”

Chris, 27, who has written books on UFOs and says he has watched hundreds of UFO videos, said it was unlike anything he has seen before. And when he went onto the website of The Norfolk UFO Network he found it did not fall into any of the site’s categories.

He said: “I posted the video on Facebook and people said it could be a drone or hot air balloon but it was too high up - it was the height planes fly at, and it was miserable weather too. It looked nothing like a drone either as drones have wings and propellers. No-one’s been able to put forward any sensible suggestion as to what it was.”
