Funeral appeal launched to give 13-year-old killed in car tragedy 'the send off he deserves'

Family friend says youngster run over by unattended car was 'a very smart, caring young man'

Kaden Gowers, a pupil at All Hallows Catholic College in Macclesfield, died after he was run over by an 'unattended car'.

Family friends of Kaden Gowers have launched an appeal to help his mum give him the ‘send off he deserves’.

The 13-year-old died on Tuesday night after apparently being hit by an unattended car on Fowey Close in Macclesfield.

Tributes have been paid to the schoolboy, who was a pupil at All Hallows Catholic College, with many describing him as a ‘popular’ and ‘friendly’ young man.

A fundraising page has now been set up in his memory in a bid to raise £2,000 towards his funeral, with £775 in donations being collected so far.

Amy Mcmahon, who started the campaign, wrote: “I’m doing this page to help raise funds to help my friend Kerry.

On Tuesday 20th September 2016 her life changed forever when her eldest child 13 year old Kaden had been involved in a serious accident.

“Tragically Kaden lost his life he was a very smart caring young man who had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone.

“His mum called him a friendly young man who had his whole life ahead of him and he meant the world to her and his siblings.

"He had just started his second year in high school he had many friends in school and at home who he cared for dearly.

“The reason I am doing this page is to try and raise some funds to help Kerry give the send off her little boy deserves.

“Our hearts are broken and my thoughts are with Kerry Reece Paige Lee and the rest of her family. Any donations would be kindly appreciated thankyouu x.”
