I WORRY about Barack Obama. He really doesn’t understand the political process does he?
Following the unsuccessful Christmas Day attack on Flight 253, he actually said his Government’s security procedures had failed.
Dangerous talk, Mr President. First rule of (British) politics: Never admit anything.
Then, horror of horrors, he said: "I take full responsibility."
No, no, no, never take responsibility. Blame it on subordinates, someone, anyone, but do not take responsibility.
Finally, and most distressing of all, the President said: "The buck stops with me."
Tony Blair ran this country for over a decade without the buck going anywhere near him.
When disaster struck, he knew nothing. If he did it wasn’t in writing, and if it was he never read it.
You, Mr President, are too honest. Carry on like this and you will stand accused of integrity.
