Family and friends will hit the dance floor to raise money for life-changing equipment for a little girl.

Megan Davies, six, of Clifford Road, Broken Cross, has a genetic condition which has never been diagnosed but means she is blind and has limited movement so cannot walk, talk or sit up.

Her spine is bending and her family have been fundraising for special equipment including a ‘Mollii suit’to develop her back muscles and help her sit tall. They are now working towards paying for a new chair and a wheelchair access vehicle.

A night of music and dancing will take place this week to raise more funds. Bands Meraki and House of Wolves will perform and DJ Raf will play indie and dance classics.

Megan’s mum Helen said: “We’ve organised a music and indie disco night to raise money for our beautiful Megan. Megan loves music and we’re going to hit the dancefloor for her appeal.”

The event is at 7.30pm, on Friday, October 21 at Oakleigh House on Riseley Street. Tickets cost £10.
