SNAP! Divers who turned out for a talk on underwater photography saw double when member Ron Allan brought along his brother.

For Doug - a world famous wildlife cameraman specialising in the deep and cold climate work - is a twin!

Doug, who has worked with David Attenborough on series like "Life in the Freezer" and the forthcoming "Blue Planet" as well as the recent "Ultimate Killers" on BBC1, was only too happy to tell of his adventures accompanied by a film show.

He started out as a marine biologist working in the Antartic and gradually developed his filming skills.

He now works freelance as a full time wildlife film maker.

His sophisticated filming equipment which has to cope with extreme conditions is costly. One of his underwater cameras alone costs £130,000!

Doug's fee for talking to excited members of the East Cheshire Sub-Aqua Club, which raised £300 for MAST and RNIB, was sky high - literally.

In return for his services his brother Ron, himself a bit of a celebrity as one of UK's top aerobatic pilots, had to promise to take him on a nail-biting white-knuckle flight.

Oh Brother!
