A defendant bolted from court today after learning while in the dock that there was a warrant out for his arrest for another offence.
Nathan Wilson, 24, was in the dock at Macclesfield Magistrates court to face a drunk and disorderly charge when it came to light that a warrant was out for Wilson's arrest for failing to comply with an earlier order from probation.
When Wilson heard about the warrant he asked court staff to use the toilet and left the court room with his friend.
The pair were then seen running off from the court along Hibel Road.
Magistrates issued another warrant for the man's arrest without bail.
