SIX Conservative candidates will battle it out this weekend to win your votes.
Saturday (October 17) will mark the beginning of the end of Sir Nicholas Winterton’s 38-year reign – and the start of a new era for the town. Hundreds of Maxonians are expected to attend the American-style ‘Open Primary’ election at Fallibroome High School.
Voters will hear ten-minute interviews from each of the candidates, conducted by BBC north west journalist and Manchester Evening News columnist Jim Hancock.
