A dad is fundraising to thank the hospital which cared for his daughter.

Daniel Brownhill, from Poynton, is supporting Manchester Children’s Hospital where his daughter Maisy had plastic surgery to remove a rare skin disease.

He has pledged to raise £500 for the hospital and has already run the Wilmslow half marathon and will run the Manchester marathon this Sunday.

Mr Brownhill, who is manager at estate agents Gascoigne Halman in Poynton, said: “It’s a charity close to our hearts as our youngest daughter Maisy needed plastic surgery to remove a rare form of skin disease which she had suffered from being 18 months old.

“We can’t praise Manchester Children’s Hospital enough for the care and attention Maisy received.”
