The mum of a tot born with a rare heart condition has organised a fundraising concert to support the charities which supported the family through their ordeal.

Ted Rourke was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, which stops oxygen being pumped around the body.

The youngster, from Macclesfield, whose bravery has earned him the nickname ‘Super Ted’ after the cartoon teddy bear, is on the mend after corrective surgery.

Ted Rourke spent the first three months of his life in Alder Hey Children's Hospital

His mum Sian has organised Heart Felt Chords, a concert to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, which performed Ted's surgery, and Lagan’s Foundation, which gave respite support to the family.

It will be at St Peter’s Church, Prestbury, on Saturday February 7.

The concert starts at 3pm but from 2pm there are craft stalls, a tombola, raffle and auction.

If anyone can provide raffle and auction prizes email heartfeltchords@gmail.com.

Tickets for the concert are £5 adult and £1 child in advance or £7 adult and £2 on the door.
