The fair included entertainment for all the family and the PTA said it was another resounding success, thanking local businesses who donated prizes to be raffled off. The money raised will go towards helping the school and village hall.

Savannah Christensen, chairman of the PTA, said: “Every year Shrigley Hall donates a fantastic prize for the school’s Christmas Fair and this is just the children’s way of saying thanks. The kids always look forward to entertaining the staff and guests and this year was no exception.

“Led by teacher Lauren Stout, the Pott Shrigley School Choir sang a lovely mix of Christmas Carols and really got everybody in the mood for the festive season. There were plenty of smiles around Shrigley Hall and it was lovely to see the kids making everyone so happy with their beautiful voices. It’s something they look forward to every year.
