An investigation has been launched after the theft of alcohol and food from Handforth shops.
Police have released the CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the thefts.
On Tuesday, August 4, a man went into Spar on Wilmslow Road and took a crate of Foster’s beer from the store without paying.
The next day, Wednesday, August 5, between 11am and 7pm, two men entered Spar and Classic Wines on Wilmslow Road, and Tesco, at The Paddock, and stole alcohol and food.
PC Dan Lawton said: “The fact that they appear to have systematically targeted each store in the local area indicates that this is premeditated and if left unchecked could have a sustained impact on the local trade. I would urge anyone with information or who recognises the men in the CCTV images to contact me so that I can progress with my enquiries and catch those responsible.”
