Cheshire police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the Old Buxton Road that left two teenagers with serious injuries.

The incident occurred at around 10.50pm on Sunday, October 11.

The vehicle, a black Vauxhall Corsa, was travelling along the Old Buxton Road from Teggs Nose in the direction of Macclesfield when the incident occurred.

Officers attended the scene the find the vehicle on its roof.

Two of the passengers, both 16-year-old girls from the Macclesfield area, sustained significant injuries and are in hospital receiving treatment.

The 17-year-old driver and a third passenger – a 16-year-old girl – suffered minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the incident to come forward. In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident itself, or may have seen the car in the run-up to it.
