Budding actress Bonita Hardwick may only be 13, but her career is already taking off thanks to a big part in a charity film.
The ink was barely dry on her child performance licence when she received a call from her agent to say Bonita had been chosen for a Barnados advertisement.
A member of Macclesfield’s Glenda Harding-Plant drama school, she features prominently in the video, where children highlight the plight of youngsters who ended up working as slave labour in the 1900s.
Mum Maria, of Alton Drive, in Hurdsfield, said her daughter has always had a talent, but she never expected her to land her first part so soon.
Maria said: "We have only just got her child modelling and acting licence and signed her up to the Kids & Co agency a few weeks ago. Bonita wanted to be a model and that’s why we signed her up to the agency, but when they found out about her acting they put her forward for this role straight away. I’m very proud."
