I'VE lived in the North West for 20 years, settling in Bollington in 1997.

I grew up in rural Wales, before moving to Manchester to go to University, giving me a unique insight into the strengths and diversity’s of rural and city living, insight that I will use if elected onto the new Unitary Authority.

I am a strong, effective communicator, with good media relations both nationally – I’ve had work published in the Times, and locally, both the Macclesfield Express, Silk FM and Radio Manchester, have covered stories I’ve submitted, regarding the campaign to overturn proposals to consult on closure of Bollington St John’s school.

I have always had an interest and appreciation of community life, demonstrating this as Editor of the Ottakar’s Local History book - ‘Wilmslow’, and through my support of the Parents Association at my children’s school.

There is something special about life in the foothills of the Peaks. I believe that that ‘something’ needs protecting and nurturing. Decisions made by the new authority need to be considered carefully, in the light of all facts, and how those decisions affect the wider community.

If I am successful as an Independent candidate, I will use my experience, strength, and links in the locality to represent the wants and concerns of people in Bollington, Disley, Pott Shrigley, Rainow and Lyme Handley. As an Independent candidate I can do this free from the constraints of party politics.

You’ve got 3 votes on May 1st. Make 1 of them Independent.
