A man has died after a four vehicle crash on the A34 in Macclesfield.
The accident happened between Pexhill Road and Blackden Lane just before 3pm yesterday.
An air ambulance were scrambled but a 22-year-old man from Altrincham, the driver of a silver Peugeot 306, died at the scene.
The drivers of three other vehicles - a silver Mercedes, a green BMW and a white Iveco van - suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for seven hours from Monks Heath roundabout down Congleton Road up to the junction with School Lane.
