The second body recovered from the site of the Bosley mill blaze is believed to be employee Dorothy Bailey, police have said.

Mrs Bailey, a 62-year-old grandmother, was one of four workers reported missing after several explosions and intense flames destroyed the Wood Flour Mills near Macclesfield on Friday.

She was working as a cleaner in the wood mill and lived in a row of cottages next to the factory.

Her family described her as a “loving mother to Christopher, Matthew and Edward and a doting grandmother”.

Search teams have been scouring the debris for several days and three bodies have so far been found.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “A post mortem examination on the second body found at Bosley Mill on Tuesday has been carried out.

“Formal identification has not been made but, based on the information available to the coroner, indications are that it is probably that of Dorothy Bailey, aged 62.

“However, further forensic tests are required to corroborate the identification.”

The spokesman added that Mrs Bailey’s family have been updated and the Family Liaison Officers off all those affected continue to offer them advice and support.

A post mortem examination was carried out on the first body, which was recovered on Sunday, and it is believed to be that of Williams Barks, 51.

Workers Jason Shingler, 38, and Derek Moore, 62, have not been seen since the massive explosion on Friday.

Search teams have recovered a third body from the site of the Bosley mill blaze.

Emergency crews made their find today at the fire-gutted Wood Flour Mills.

Yesterday emergency services crews removed three unstable silos at the site to allow the search to continue.

Cheshire Police said the third body was found in a section of the site identified by sniffer search dogs.

The families of those feared dead are to visit the site later today to help in the search and pay their respects.

A joint investigation is under way between police, fire and the Health and Safety Executive to establish the cause of the incident.
