This week sports teams, a charity coffee morning and Cuban Knights pubs feature in our Time-trip column.

Each week we will publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.

The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.

This week our pictures show locals enjoying a drink in Cuban Nights and Macclesfield Town players training at JJB Sports Leisure Club.

There are also shots of Macclesfield Ladies Hockey First Team and Macclesfield Hospital’s Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning at the cancer resource centre - from left, Alan Kerrod, Karen Buckley, lead cancer nurse, Mary Golding, Paul Maxon and Mary Jepson.
