A 22-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of Zain Sailsman.

Charles Beadell was unanimously convicted by a jury at Chester Crown Court this afternoon.

Beadell, of Buckfast Close in Macclesfield, had denied killing 19-year-old Zain, who was found critically ill on Bullocks Lane, Sutton, on October 30 before dying in hospital.

The jury is still considering verdicts for Julia Howard and Ricky Jervis, 23, of Dale Crescent in Congleton, who are both also accused of Zain's murder.

But they have found Howard, 36, of Shaw Street in Macclesfield, guilty of a charge of perverting the course of justice.

Co-defendant Dale Thompson, 20, of Warwick Close, Macclesfield, was also found guilty of perverting the course of justice.

Cade Spence, 20, has been found not guilty of firearms charges.

Sentencing will take place at a later date.
