This week a certificate presentation, talent show participants and an Italian restaurant feature in our Time-trip column.

Each edition of the Macclesfield Express we publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers, which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.

The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.

This week our first picture shows The New Horizon Centre, Macclesfield, where Macclesfield councillor Paul Whitely presented certificates to people on the extended teacher training course. In front, the mayor is presenting a certificate to Pauline Barnett.

There is also a shot of some of the pupils taking part in a talent show at Fallibroome High School, and another of Focus DIY in Lyme Green, with from left, Steve Cwiklinski of Macc Community Safety, with Annie Pearson from Focus, Alex Keen from the Princes Trust, Paula Hudson from Focus, and Natalie Hall and Michelle Hart from the Princes Trust.

Finally, there is a picture of Ciao Restaurant, Park Lane, Poynton, with, from left, Jane Wilkinson, fundraiser for Marie Curie, Phillip Mindenhall, book cover artist, Janet Robertson Jones, author, and Mikele Caputo, owner of Ciao

The photos were all taken in the early 2000s.

If you have any pictures you would like us to feature in the column, please send them into us at communities@menmedia.co.uk or via the Macclesfield Express Facebook page.
