I am absolutely disgusted at the plans to destroy to the Porters. It's a total disgrace. As an exiled Maxonian living in Sydney I was looking forward to a few pints of strong lager in the Porters on my return, with some idle banter from the irreverant Katherine H (an old school pal) behind the bar, with Baggy smoking roll-ups & putting the world to rights as he reads his daily paper & the other clientel just enjoying losing an afternoon or evening in a superb traditional English pub.
