When I read this sad story my thoughts immediately go out to the lady's family. I do not live in Maccesfield, however have family in nearby Leek and I appreciate what a beautiful part of the UK you live in. To lose this unique site (which I have read about tonight from previous Express reports) would be a great tragedy - how better it would be if some good could come out of today's tragedy and this site is saved. In fact saved not only for it's unique wildlife but in memory of an individual who cared so much. Shame on your council. Save this site for future generations.
