A new logo? That’ll be £250,000, please
by Rhiannon McDowall17/ 9/2008
THE NEW logo for Cheshire East has been unveiled, bringing Macclesfield borough one step closer to becoming part of the unitary council...at a cost of £250,000.
The quarter of a million pound ‘Wheatsheaf’ – now in orange and green – tickled the public’s fancy in a survey, relegating MBC’s historic coat of arms to the sidelines.
I'm speechless.

The new council kicks off on April Fools Day. How apt.
In this era of the credit crunch to have councils acting like businesses and wasting money on nonsense like this is ridiculous. Its not like the public have a choice, so the rebrand is totally pointless.
What Bill North involved in this process?
