It’s smiles better in Macc
3/ 9/2008
SMILE – you’ve just woken up in Macclesfield, the fifth happiest place in the United Kingdom.
Yes, the borough is officially part of the joyous elite, according to the results of a 17-year-long survey.
I wouldn't go as far as to say everything you need. Yes it is nice, I do like Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. However, having lived in quite a few different counties I can say that Macclesfield is probably one of the biggest towns with the least amenties I can think of.

All in all Macclesfield is a nice place to live, far better than a city.
You do have a good town centre with everything that you need in it, and also the countryside all round.
I really enjoyed all of my 18 years there.

Ignorance is obviously bliss after all.
