Tesco plans rejected for a second time

by Pete Bainbridge

TESCO has been defeated once again after its new designs for a Broken Cross store were rejected by MBC.

The supermarket giant’s original plans – for a Tesco Express outlet on the former J and P Rose garage site – were rejected on design grounds in March, and the multinational found its second bite of the cherry just as bitter last week.

I like variety as well, just think Macc could still sustain at least 3 or 4 more Tescos thats all. They do good pies over here, but not as good as you get in Wigan or Bolton.

But macclesfield already has a very large Tesco. Why does it need two.? Give another company a chance with different goods and prices in the town.

Fingers crossed for Tesco that its 3rd time lucky. This petty parochialism will do Macclesfield no good at all, especially in these tough credit crunch times.

Excuse me, your over 1,000 miles.

I want the extention, I want the added choice, I want the cheaper clothes and electriclal goods, not bothered if Tesco turns into Waylan Industries in the meantime.
